Hands Producing Hope employees refugee women and our workshop is in Baton Rouge, LA! We focus on working with women who have a number of barriers preventing them from getting traditional employment (language barriers, degrees not transferring, childcare, transportation, etc). We provide a safe and welcoming space where we build community among the refugee women and the rest of our staff, helping the women come out of isolation and into community! They practice their English, learn artisan skills, have access to our clothing closet that we do 2+ times a year, and we try to help with individual needs as they arise!
